According to a Metgasco Limited statement to the Australian Stock Exchange (repeated in a media release) it has; been advised by the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) that it will not be proceeding with an inquiry into the Company. The advice makes it clear that there was no information in the referral to ICAC that was indicative of corrupt conduct.
Unfortunately for this coal seam and tight gas exploration and mining company operating on the New South Wales North Coast, the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption would neither confirm nor deny Metgasco’s statement when I contacted the commission yesterday afternoon.
